Acts 2
This painting was inspired by the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2, we read about the moment in the upper room when everyone present was filled with the Holy Ghost. The Spirit manifested through different languages—each one understood by someone present. This was more than just a display of divine power; it was a symbol of unity.
True unity is not about sameness, but about being different and still operating in one mind and one accord through the Holy Spirit.
This piece is a reminder to stay on fire—not merely touched by the flame, but fully consumed. We’re called to become one with the fire, allowing it to burn away what doesn’t belong, and become fire starters for others.
The fire in this painting represents the flame within us—a flame that should never go out.
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.” Acts 2:1–4
